Our Adolescent Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization Program, also known as “Young Champions,” serves adolescents ages 12 to 17 (or 18 if still enrolled in school). This program provides therapy for adolescents who require significant structure and intervention but do not meet criteria for inpatient hospitalization. Young Champions provides an academic component which meets Kentucky statutes for attendance and weekly family education group and family sessions as clinically indicated.
Our clinical approach includes elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. DBT is an evidence-based treatment program addressing the needs of adolescent patients with varying mental health and substance abuse disorders. The partial program first promotes stabilization and then focuses on enhancing thinking and behavioral skill sets.
