Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program

Our day program helps your teen recover from mental health issues without a hospital stay.

Partial Hospitalization

PHP for Teens at The Ridge: Why Choose Us?

The adolescent partial hospitalization program (PHP) at The Ridge is for teens 13 to 17 (or 18 if they are still in high school). Your child may step down to our PHP for teens after completing our inpatient program. Or they may enroll in the program directly after undergoing a level of care assessment.

Our outpatient program for teens meets Monday through Friday. Teens typically attend for two to four weeks. We provide breakfast, lunch and snacks. Transportation options may be available – please contact us to learn more.

Adolescence is a challenging time. Your teen may be having a hard time in school. They may be dealing with relationship problems, bullying or self-esteem issues. We can help. Our compassionate staff guides your child through recovery so they can be the best version of themselves.

At The Ridge, you’ll find:

  • Skilled care providers: Our staff evaluates your child’s behavior and creates an individualized treatment plan tailored to their needs. Your child works with therapists, an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and an aftercare specialist, who supports you and your child after finishing the program.
  • Evidence-based treatment: Our treatments are based on current research and our clinical knowledge. Treatment methods include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which give your child coping skills to recover.
  • Structured environment: Each day is structured with group therapy, psychoeducation groups, coping skills groups and wellness groups. Having a regular schedule helps your child focus on healing.
  • Small groups: Our groups have no more than 12 teens, so each participant gets the attention and care they need.
  • Family involvement: We provide weekly family therapy sessions so you can be involved in your child’s recovery journey.
  • School support: A certified teacher works with your child to help them keep up with their school assignments.
  • Transportation services: Transportation options may be available – please contact us to learn more.
  • THRIVE program: We offer a separate PHP for teens who need extra help. For example, they may have a significant history of trauma or be involved in the juvenile justice system.
